Chris D’Adamo – Treasurer report – scouts owe about $4000 – bank balance is good

Brent Reynolds – Court of Honor in 2 weeks

Tom Wineland – would like to involve Eagles on Boards of Review – the committee approved as long as those scouts were given some training in what to do

Clarence Krantz – 9 possible new Eagles for November Court – 3 have completed all requirements – the rest are in process – needs adults to sit on boards on 9/16 – a few scouts are running out of time, age-wise, to make it to Eagle – Bill Haner will talk to these scouts

Bill Haner – Scoutmaster report – campout planning done at last troop meeting – next meeting will be a discussion of shooter safety – new SPL is doing a good job

Rob Wheeler – OA – needs an OA youth representative -  it is a position that counts toward rank advancement and we can have more than one – nobody form our troop went to Fall Fellowship – Section Conclave is in Oct and will be a very good camping experience

Herb Strain – asked people to bring a stapler and staples, hard chairs and another gator to the Sept campout

Herb Strain – Camporee – they are looking for adults and older scouts to help in several areas – it will be based on Lewis and Clark, so things that we make will have to be done in that style – we will have 8 packs of Webelos visiting us – Webelos will likely visit a November troop meeting

Herb Strain – Rick Korvic will shadow Rusty to become the new grubmaster

Bill Haner – our troop will do a potato event at the Camporee

Herb Strain – discussed how much to charge for the camporee – he will have a flyer to distribute to include cost and other particulars at the next troop meeting tommorrow

Terry Ellis – 04-05 High Adventure plans – (report from Bryce Wells) Chip will handle the National Jamboree- we will do a Blackbeard type trip and we need an adult to coordinate this – we will also do either a high country horseback trip or a white water trip – Bryce is also looking at the Philmont 06 lottery

Greg Spies – equipment coordinator – would like to borrow a GPS for setting up an orienteering course for the next campout – we bought 6 new tents and some cookbox equipment and it was distributed – 2 patrol quartermasters did not show up to help with locker inventory – Jeff Mallin will be making more tent stakes for our large tarps – hasn’t heard back about possible new truck yet

Herb Strain – we need a volunteer to drive troop truck to September campout

Stu Sharp – has a stainless steel bowl that was left at the picnic – discussed the Mark Elkins Troop 10 Philmont Staff Scholarship for Eagle Scouts from HOAC, BSA – it is to be used for supplemental and educational purposes – the goal will be to fund 2 scholarships in the next year

Stu Sharp – to be honored with his wife by the Kemper Foundation as the Leawood citizens of the year with a lunch on Wednesday – any donations will go to the above scholarship

Mark McCarthy – has possible volunteer activity for us to move mulch at Gillis Home on 10/2 – Highway cleanup will be earlier that day

Greg Spies – on Friday of September campout there will be a campfire for Micosay and OA members

Herb Strain – we need an adult to volunteer to lead and coordinate the 10/28 annual Halloween event at haunted houses

Greg Bernhardt – Gary Bernhardt will complete the Emergency Preparedness merit badge at 6 PM and next troop meeting
