Terry Ellis called the meeting to
order at 6:00pm
Terry
Ellis Recognized Wheeler
and Spies for outstanding efforts with the Cross Over Ceremonies and John Ahart
for successful February campout.
William
Easley Survival campout was a
success. Surprise uniform inspection
for Scouts and Leaders at next troop meeting.
Clarence
Krantz Most Eagle candidates are on
track with requirements, need to encourage the remaining. May have up to ten Eagle Scouts in the
November Eagle Court of Honor. Adult
leaders will be needed to sit in for eagle Boards; Chris D’Adamo will be the
point person to look for volunteer adult leaders.
Joe
Vogliardo Five scouts will be
awarded Eagle in April. The Court of
Honor planning is on track. Joe will
work with Ken Roberson on the Leawood Rotary Club breakfast.
Chris
D’Adamo $6,500 cash on hand and
outstanding scout balances are down.
Bill Haner Katfish Katie’s in Huntsville,
MO will be the location for the Bike Hike.
Thanks to Herb Strain for negotiating a $1.50 per head rate on his trip back
to St. Louis from the Bartle Campout.
Leaders will be staggered every 1.5 miles for safety. Adult volunteers
at stations along the trail are needed. Bike Source will be at the campout and
provide comp minor repairs in exchange for name recognition. May need a second trailer to accommodate 68
new crossovers. Leadership (William
Easley, Bill Haner, Greg Spies, Greg Williams, Terry Ellis, etc.) will arrive
one day early on Friday night to setup and layout Mustang camp. Bill Haner and Greg Spies will coordinate
bike hike menu with Ricky Korvick.
Discussed
possible locations for the canoe campout.
Best locations are spring fed and 3.5 to 4 hours away. Group decided it is best to stay on the Niangua
for mustang scouts but we will pick a new campsite near the river.
Rob
Wheeler Passover falls on the
OA campout. Scouts that need to leave
early will be excused without penalty as long as they arrive on Friday night
and stay most of the day on Saturday.
New crossovers will arrive on Saturday morning.
Greg
Williams Bartle leader meeting
will be held on March 22nd. Visitor’s
day is the last day of camp. It was
decided Troop 10 would not host another troop because HOAC said Troop 10 would
need to move to week six (August) in order to be a host.
Bryce
Wells Black Beard: Two open
spots.
Boundary
Waters: Positions should fill up.
Philmont:
45 to 50 scouts. (Deposits required ASAP)
Bob Key Will place add in auto
trader for old scout truck.
Chuck
Gibson Greg Williams is looking
for a 200 gallon water container for the new truck. Weight not a concern at this point. Need to keep wood poles for lashings on truck. Knot Master is considering one dozen poles
at 6 to 7 feet. Knot Master will
evaluate.
Greg Spies Need 24 new tents for 68 new
Mustang Scouts. 12 are already on
order. Total tent cost is $4,800. Need 24 tarps at $48. Also need Igloo water coolers and other
misc. camping equipment. Ordered 100 Troop
10 Scarf patches at $3.50 ea. for the new Mustangs.
Rob
Wheeler OA eligibility letter
will be sent to parents. Ordeal will be
held at Bartle. Request will be made
for five leaders.
Greg Spies Mic-O-Say duties were fulfilled
at Bartle.
Terry
Ellis Adult training for
committee members will be held on Tuesday room 2207 at COR. September training dates for leadership,
outdoor and new leadership essentials are posted on the District calendar.
New
Business Re-charter deadline is
March 14th. New Parents
meeting April 16th, working on a location commitment from Blue
Valley. Bartle parents meeting 4/20 at
7pm. Bartle merit badge signup
4/25. Trailhead Merit Badge Forum 3/26 (need
volunteers)
Brent
Reynolds Voted not to create a new
leadership process. All agreed.
William
Easley Roundtable is 1st
Thursday of every month 1.5 hours starting at 7:30pm Church of the Resurrection
Open
Discussion Troop 91 will send 22 boys
for Lifesaving Merit Badge. Pedro
Patrol will load the truck at the next campout. Need a volunteer to drive the truck
Terry
Ellis Received Hen House check
for $47.50 for 2/05. We now have the minimum 25 families but still have to meet
minimum for Price Chopper. Bob Key has accepted the position of Web
Master (apprentice) and Secretary in training (apprentice).
The
meeting was ended at 7:45 p.m.
