Advancement:
Court of Honor on 12/17/01 – we will not do Leawood Flag Ceremony that night
We will
consider changing the next Eagle Court of Honor from 4/28/02 to 5/5/02 or 4/21/02. Mike Coffey will discuss this with Joe
Johnson.
Greg Kent:
Three new preliminary Eagle projects
approved. We have ten life scouts who
have been in this rank 1-˝ years. He
would like to encourage them to work more actively toward Eagle. A long discussion took place about offering
a “mentor” to Scouts that are 15 years old & been Life rank for a
year. That adult would coach and
encourage that Life Scout.
Mike Coffey
thanked Joe Johnson and others for the Eagle Court of Honor and how well it
went.
Larry
Lehman will be conducting Junior Leader Training on 12/10/01. Next training will be as soon as possible
after the next election on 1/28/02.
OA Banquet
is on 1/6/02. Three tables are
reserved. One seat is still open at one
of these tables.
Mike Coffey
is requesting that an adult leader be willing to take over the job of keeping
attendance records.
Greg Spies
plans to buy new regulators for propane stoves. He would like to find out whether we will have new tables donated
or we will have to purchase them. We
will eventually need new tents also.
Super
Saturday is on 2/2/02. There will be a
variety of trainings for leaders in the Trailhead District.
District
Award Dinner 1/26/02 will be $17.00.
Mike Coffey encouraged us to attend.

High Adventure: Six have signed up for Quantico and more have expressed
interest. Ten have signed up for
Packard so far.
Troop 61

will be offered to our troop at the next regular troop meeting.
Stu Sharp:
